Finding epileptic markers can help stop epilepsy from occurring or develop therapeutic recommendations that will ease the course of epilepsy. This way, we can protect brain from any damages, providing a chance for normal psychomotor development and better quality of life for people affected by epilepsy. That's why we got involved in the EPISTOP and the EPIMARKER research projects.

EPISTOP is an international project, that aims to identify markers of epilepsy. The project is entering its decisive phase: the clinical part of the study is coming to an end and it is scheduled for Autumn 2018. Our role in the initiative is to collect data and to conduct multifaceted analysis. Transition Technologies team is going to combine information from all the components of the project and put them into one model.

Apart from the Institute-Memorial Children's Health Center in Warsaw, there are 15 hospitals and laboratories participating in EPISTOP project - from Europe, the USA and Australia.

Transition Technologies will also carry out similar tasks, taking part in another Polish project - EPIMARKER. Company provided the hospitals participating in the project with the eCRF class system (Electronic Patient Observation Card), extended with the mechanisms derived from our proprietary MedStream Designer solution.

The consortium includes Transition Technologies, Medical University of Warsaw, International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw, The Center for Medical Genetics GENESIS, Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics and Institute of Experimental Biology of Polish Academy of Sciences and ELMIKO company.
