Seagoing cruise with blind and visually impaired participants, organized by Pirates’ Nest Charity, is going to start its route from Croatian harbor Sukosan on October 1st. On the open sea mobile application Seeing Assistant: See the Sea, developed by specialists from Transition Technologies, will make it easier for people with sight dysfunction to sail.
Program was created aiming to ease keeping navigation route for blind people, while travelling through lakes, seas and other aquatic waters. Application is intuitive – route parameters might be obtained from the simple gesture, like for instance shaking the device. “Mobile sea rudder” cooperates with GPS or Glonass navigation systems and it is compatible with popular screen reading software.
